Job Description

We are seeking a half time special educator to work with our middle school.

This teacher would be an active part of the middle school teaching team and do a combination of push in and pull out IEP services in the areas of reading, writing, and math.

ESSENTIAL JOBS AND DUTIES

- Support middle school students with IEPs with specialized instruction to meet their goals.
- Consult with the middle school team to support student success in the classroom.
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in the Child Study Team process.
- Work with related service providers as needed.
- Conduct evaluations per the IEP process.
- Work as a team with the IEP chair and elementary special education teacher.

Qualifications

This is a Baltimore City certified teaching position. You must meet the hiring requirements of Baltimore City Schools to be eligible.

Experience Required

Experience working with middle school students in a K-12 setting preferred.

We have a unique year-round calendar that is designed in six or seven week sessions with frequent breaks during intersessions.
