What Makes Us Unique
New Village Academy is a new public charter high school opening in Annapolis in Fall 2024. New Village is a high school like no other! We have built our approach around the science of motivation - designing a school that inspires students to DO their education, instead of having it done TO them.

New Village Academy is a small school where everyone knows each other’s name and is part of a “Crew” with an advisor who stays with them for all four years.

Every student has access to a city full of opportunities to learn and contribute to the real world through project-based learning, internships, and apprenticeships.
…empowered to take charge of their own education and future
Students craft their own unique learning and career plans with the support of their Navigation Team - their “Crew” advisor, their parents, a community mentor, a peer coach, and their internship supervisor - with whom they set and show progress on goals every quarter.
…accountable for meaningful work beyond the classroom
Portfolios of professional-level work show mastery of skills, and early college, career certifications, and practical interpersonal and life skills create meaningful pathways to successful, engaged adult lives.
